Both the episodes have the exact same shot-type of a mid shot from a computer. The visuals and effects are similar in both of the episodes too as they both include many shots of living rooms. In fact, when we see a new character they are in a living room. The editing is slightly different between the 2 episodes as Staged switches between making the person talking the most visible and sometimes adding in the other camera angles along side them. Unlike The Vicar of Dibley, where all the cameras are shown and it switches between who is talking to put them in the big screen. The narrative isn't that similar between them, the only thing linking them is that COVID is a part of it, as one is about daily life during COVID and the other is how a vicar is surviving during COVID.
